Welcome!
To the Wheaton College Outdoors Club webpage!
The club runs trips that get people outside, learning about local nature areas, all while promoting outdoor recreation. Trips range from walks in the Wheaton woods to backpacking trips in New England, as well as other activities such as rock climbing, canoeing, snowshoeing, kayaking, and stargazing. Trips are open to the entire campus and led by anyone in the club. Our goal is to spread our love of the outdoors to all members of the Wheaton campus and to get everyone who is interested, regardless of skill level, involved in outdoor recreation. We do trips during all seasons and for all ability levels.
This is the new home for announcements on upcoming trips and events each semester. Feel free to post your own updates about trips you’re leading, musings about possible excursions, seeking co-leaders, or just general club thoughts and ideas. The variety of adventures depends on the variety of people leading them, so get out there and try something!
Happy trails!
